The Big Fish Weekend date has been set
Friday,Saturday, and Sunday 17,18 , and 19 October
We are still setting the details
Both Lakes will be fished
Both Lakes will have big fish in.
We Will be limited to about 15 fishermen per session on the fly lake
and 15 fishermen on the bait lake per session.
Sessions will be 0900 - 1300
and 1300 - 1700
We will be setting out pegs on fly lake and possibly the Bait lake to give all the opportunity to fish the whole lake. On the fly lake, you will move pegs every half hour.
We are looking into having our resident Flyfishing Instructor Kevin Dawson available for some casting sessions on the Big Fish Weekend

Bill Henderson from Stakeford caught this nice 5 pound plus Rainbow in the fly lake.
The above two fish were caught today 26 th September by D. Carr He Caught and released at least six others.his fishing partner also caught 2 nice fish in his session, and released many.
The Below fish were caught recently by fishermen at the fishery, one on fly lake , and one on Bait lake.
 This Fish Caught by Sandy Nichols It was on the small size, but he was very pleased to have caught it.
On 30 August one of our regular fishermen caught 11 Rainbows in the fly lake in a 4 hour session of catch and release..........
On 18 September, the same fisherman caught 7 Rainbows and Blues, and snapped 2 loosing two of his best flies.........!
On 28th September the same fisherman caught and released 21 Trout... Well done George......

Fishing is good at South Linden Fishery!
 This Fish was caught on fly during the Azure Charitable Fishing Contest on 30 September. It was safely released back into the lake. It was caught by Chris Bowes from up near Rothburuy... We already have Big fish in South Linden Fly lake.... This fish was Ten and a half pounds....... I know it has been caught before, but I think it has snapped many lines as well......

New Fly Casting Pool
Kevin has recently acquired a portable Casting pond which will allow him to go to groups of people at the fishery, or even to their own communities. With the new casting pond, he will be better equipted to teach and instruct the fly fisherman & women to cast over water, prior to actually going the the lake or river for fishing.

Notice
The Fishery Now Closes at 6:00 pm daily you can fish the evening session, but there will be no entry after 6:00 pm unless arranged in advance.
The only exception to this is that you phone Andrew at the fishery, and let him know that you are coming and that you wish to start fishing later than this.
Actual Fishery hours are 0830 am - 7:00 pm but if you want a earler start, Phone andrew and make arrangements to have a early start.
As the evenings close in, the closing times will be adjusted
The fishery now has improved security in effect due to poaching and threats of poaching. If you enter into the fishery without permission, you will be prosecuted. Taking fish that you have not paid for is another form of poaching.
We will be checking bags when you leave the fishery.
(our regular and good customers say "We have nothing to hide, so we do not mind you checking our bags.")
19 September
Just returned from the fishery, There have been a number of fishermen today, most have caught fish.
Mr.Marshall had a good session today, keeping two nice fish caught on a coloured fritz.
We are Still doing some work on the dam wall. We ask that fishermen be careful in that area, thanks

South Linden Worms 
For the Bait fisherman, we are now supplying our own worms. They are packed 20 in a Tub and are only £1.60 per Tub. Ask a member of staff at the fishery for your worms.

Again for the fly fishermen, we have a good stock of Flies Wet and Dry & Lures available at 40 pence each... Ask a member of staff at the fishery.
